Coastal Business Machines, LLC (CBM) warrants its products sold with a limited warranty to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. (This period may be longer — up to two years –if the Buyer has purchased an extended warranty from CBM.)
The Limited Warranty is applicable to the following products: products sold under the CPP; products sold as new products; customer units serviced and returned to the customer. CBM’s obligation under this limited warranty is limited to repairing or replacing, at its own sole option, any such defective products. All other products are sold “as is” without a warranty of any kind unless CBM agrees otherwise in writing. Examples of products supplied by third parties and sold without any CBM warranty are bezels, mounting brackets, ears, and cables.
To obtain service under warranty you must obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number from CBM customer support. Customer support will attempt to understand and solve the problem over the phone first; failing that, the product will be brought back into CBM via RMA for further testing and, if necessary, repair or replacement. In some cases, products may be required to be returned to CBM with transportation charges prepaid.
This limited warranty does not apply to products or equipment damaged by accident, negligence, or misapplication or altered or modified in any way. This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the Certified Pre-Owned product or the original owner of the product covered by warranty at the time limited warranty service was performed.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, CBM MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, IN NO EVENT WILL CBM BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. Specifically, CBM is not liable for any costs, such as lost profits or revenue, loss of equipment, loss of use of equipment, loss of software, loss of data, costs of substitutes, claims by third parties, or otherwise.
